En-Vau

En-Vau — “the vale” or “the valley” in Provençal — packs sea, mountain and valley into one breathtaking spot. It’s the most picturesque and most famous of all the calanques. It’s also the climbers’ calanque: they come for its walls, with routes ranging from beginner-friendly to expert-only. Its limpid waters shift between turquoise and emerald.

The easiest way into En-Vau is by sea, sailing along an impressive cliff face where you can spot the Doigt de Dieu — the “Finger of God,” a striking rock needle.

En-Vau is one of the most beautiful calanques of all. Deep-set, wild and majestic, it radiates a soothing calm. A small sandy beach opens onto a fantastic panorama.
