Figuerolles

Figuerolles is a true local institution: a self-proclaimed republic, complete with its own time zone. Sitting at the foot of the Notre-Dame de la Garde chapel, it nestles between the Bec de l’Aigle, the Trois Secs rocks and Cap Canaille.
The entrance to Figuerolles is full of curiosities, including a rock shaped like a dog’s head — or a Capuchin monk’s, depending on your angle. Keep an eye out for a natural hole in the rock and the Îlot du Lion, the “Lion Islet.”
