Île Verte

Setting off from La Ciotat, you’ll sail along the Île Verte (“Green Island”), passing the Mugel calanque on the way. The island is home to gabians — the local name for the Mediterranean’s yellow-legged gulls — all year round, and offers a lovely walking trail with sweeping views of the open sea.

The Île Verte is the only wooded island in the Bouches-du-Rhône. It measures 430 by 260 meters (about 1,400 by 850 feet) and rises to 43 meters (140 feet) at its highest point.
